Hacker wanted to redesign iPad news experience
I’m Adriano, a news entrepreneur now on a Knight fellowship at Stanford where I’m building OWNI, a company that will augment and redesign the news experience on the iPad for a US audience.
I believe that a ‘story’ should NOT be about just text anymore. Think of it as an interactive and visual killer app. We’re just at the beginning of a storytelling revolution. We then need to hack journalism to make the news experience better.
OWNI has an older and charming sister living in Paris, OWNI.fr who was a finalist at this year’s SXSW Accelerator, is considered the best non-English website in the world by the Online News Association and whose English version has already 300,000 American users. Great traction!
I am looking right now for an iOS / html5 hacker to build the web-platform and the iPad app that we need in order to revolutionize the news experience in this country.
Here are the qualities I am looking for in a cofounder:
- Passionate about news and storytelling
- Enthusiastic about rapid prototyping
- Awesome programmer fluent in html5 and iOS
- Based in the Bay Area
Is that person you? Just shoot me a brief email ASAP and let’s grab coffee together.
Looking forward to meeting you
