Augmented Journalism at ARE 2011
On May 18 I gave a talk at ARE, the Augmented Reality Event conference in Santa Clara, Ca.
It was a wonderful occasion to meet again the AR community and industry and, for me, to share my thoughts on how journalism and augmented reality have a lot in common because both of them are there to unveil what is hidden. And show Quadmented, the prototype we realized with Gene Becker to offer a time-machine experience through Stanford University’s Main Quad.
The talk was kindly recorded and reviewed by my friends at Layar, the AR browser, an Amsterdam-based company that is apparently populated by some representatives of the weird species of storytellers.
Wanna learn why the ancient Greek word “aletheia” matter for both journalism and AR? Or you maybe just want to learn the recipe of my lasagna? Watch the talk here.
